We have an exciting opportunity in our Digital Humanities Institute (DHI) for an Operations Manager to lead a wide range of activities central to the efficient, effective and successful operation of the Institute.
Line managed by the Deputy Director of Faculty Operations and reporting to the Director of the DHI, you will provide clear guidance, strategic and policy support to the Director and ensure that the DHI team delivers an excellent, responsive and efficient service to both students and staff. You will work collegially across Professional Services to deliver an efficient and effective administrative function, and will deputise for the Director, as appropriate.
You will make a major contribution to the DHI’s strategic planning process. You will have an understanding of the higher education sector, experience of project management, process improvement and financial management including budgeting, and a successful track record of leading, managing and motivating diverse and complex teams to deliver a high quality service and achieve positive change.
The Digital Humanities Institute (DHI) is one of the UK’s leading research institutes for digital humanities, with a national and international reputation of nearly 30 years. It hosts and delivers a large portfolio of UKRI funded projects, and currently delivers PGT programmes to 160 students. The team provides research and development services for the Arts and Humanities.
