We are now looking for a Site Operative to join our London campus on a Part time, permanent basis working 22.2 hours per week weekend Delivery.

- THE ROLE -

You will be responsible for maintaining the security of UWTSD premises and the environment. In addition, depending on Rota and need, you will be expected to carry out caretaking duties, portering, and minor maintenance, as well as other general duties required by the role

- ABOUT YOU -

To be considered as a Site Operative, you will need:

  • Good general level of education
  • Willingness to undertake first-aid certificate training
  • Previous experience in providing grounds and minor maintenance service
  • Previous experience of working in Higher Education
  • Ability to identify potential risks and undertake risk assessments
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Adequate IT skills
  • Demonstrates self-motivation and ability to work unsupervised
  • Able to work as part of a team and in partnership with others
  • Recognises the need for and demonstrates appropriate confidentiality
  • Able and prepared to work flexibly, including travel between campuses and locations when required

It would also be beneficial if you had:

  • Valid first aid certification
  • Previous experience of providing security services in a similar environment
  • Previous experience of switch board service
  • Understanding of a Planned Preventative Maintenance
