We seek scholars in a number of areas who will join with us in pursuit of excellence; these opportunities include the post of:
PROFESSIONAL TUTOR IN PRIMARY EDUCATION
The School of Teacher Education at Liverpool Hope is expanding, responding and anticipating changes in the sector. Building upon our success, evidenced most recently by exceptional results in the national student satisfaction survey, Good Universities guide and Gold award in the Teaching Excellence Framework we are now seeking experienced colleagues to join us to make a major contribution to the development of the Primary Education provision within the School. The postholder will also contribute to the wider Primary team including work on undergraduate BA QTS and the PGCE Primary.
The maternity leave cover role will be of considerable significance moving forward, and we are looking for applicants who have the professional expertise, drive and commitment to ensure that the curriculum is ambitious, carefully sequenced and underpinned by our commitment to inclusion and social justice. The person appointed will have a high-level of expertise in Primary education. Additionally, as a highly-skilled professional, substantial recent experience in a professional context such as curriculum development, school leadership, school based initial teacher education, experience across multiple key stages and or an expertise in Mathematics would be beneficial.
We are looking for professionals who understand the importance of the university- school partnership and will be skilled in strengthening relationships with schools.
The appointment is at Grade 7 on the pay scale. Given the importance of the posts you will report directly to the Head of Primary (PGCE or BA QTS).
We are looking for an individual who will bring enthusiasm and a sense of vocation for their chosen subject and profession, and with demonstrable successful experience in an educational context. You will be supported to develop fully as a leading Teacher Educator; this will include training and professional development. Bringing substantial, recent and relevant professional experience, which may be within a HEI, you will be looking for an opportunity to work with others to ensure that Hope NQTs and graduates will be effective, reflective, fully-informed and committed curriculum shapers of the future
We recruit staff nationally and internationally as we seek out the best to help build Hope for the future. If you join us you will be doing so that an exciting and challenging time as we work to build a liberal arts inspired university of distinction in the UK. If you have the energy, drive and commitment to assist in this task, we would be delighted to hear from you.
