We offer an exciting, stimulating, challenging and dynamic working environment for all our staff. The Business School is an integral part of the University with successful undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, a large PhD portfolio as well as an MBA.

The Department of Business Accounting brings together renowned academics that research on, and teach in, a wide range of accounting, accountability, finance and governance topics with an increasing and unique emphasis on corporate governance, financial reporting, social and environmental accounting, taxation and contemporary accounting issues. Colleagues in the Department have published in leading journals, such as the Accounting and Business Research, Accounting Forum, Accounting in Europe, British Accounting Review, Critical Perspectives on Accounting, Journal of Business Ethics, and Journal of Corporate Finance, amongst others.

We would like to hear from applicants with membership of a professional accountancy body and recent professional experience in the practice or teaching of accounting. In addition, applicants must either hold a Masters level qualification or PhD in a relevant subject. We would like to hear from applicants who are keen to contribute to the teaching, learning and student experience in the field of financial education and who have data analytical skills. You will have strong potential leadership skills and experience of teaching in any area of accounting, but particularly advanced financial accounting and forensic accounting. You will also demonstrate a robust interest in innovative approaches to teaching and be expected to provide research support (as appropriate) and mentoring to others in the group.

Brunel has a strong track-record of securing research funding from EU and other international sources. Regardless of the long-term future for UK participation in Horizon Europe, Brunel will continue to ensure that staff have access to non-EU research funding, and we will continue to support our many bilateral collaborations within the EU and will remain an active member of YERUN.

We offer a generous annual leave package plus discretionary University closure days, excellent training and development opportunities as well as a great occupational pension scheme and a range of health-related support. The University is committed to a hybrid working approach
