The London School of Economics is a cosmopolitan university situated in the vibrant centre of London that specialises in the study of social sciences. Our Data and Technology Services division provides services to over 14,000 staff and student users.

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Project Delivery team, who will be responsible for the design and implementation of high-quality solutions to the School. The ideal candidate will work with colleague Project Managers in the delivery of large/long-term projects through managing small projects/work-packages effectively to scope, quality and budget; manage quality and deliver to deadlines set on a consistent basis working with internal and external stakeholders.

The Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical project management on projects/work-packages in collaboration with clients and other IT support staff for LSE.
  • Making decisions regarding project organisation and approach to delivery and issue resolution.
  • Maintaining project documentation including version control
  • Managing project dependencies and the interfaces with other projects or teams.
  • Ensuring projects and project stages are completed and closed.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Experience of running projects using PRINCE2 and Agile Project methodologies
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate using appropriate styles, methods and timing, including digital channels, to maximise understanding and impact
  • Experience of facilitating feedback sessions from groups of customers to understand concerns and issues
  • Experience of working with best practice Change and Release Management processes
