Background
This role will be part of the Student Communications and Voice Team which supports an exceptional student experience by communicating key messages, gathering and responding to student feedback and coordinating City’s Welcome offer and community-building opportunities.
The team is part of the Student Inclusion and Engagement Team within the Student Experience Directorate, with a dotted line to Marketing and External Relations.
Responsibilities
The Student Communications Officer will help to communicate important messages to students to ensure they have all the information they need to access the support and opportunities available to them throughout their time at City.
Working across various channels, it will support and produce content for the fortnightly all-student e-newsletter, Student Hub (intranet), social media channels and on campus displays as well as coordinating the work of Student Communications Assistants.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have reasonable experience in a communications role, ideally within the education sector or working with young people, where they have supported effective communications and copywritten and edited on a number of topics across a range of channels.
