The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Research Development Managers to join the highly valued Research Development Remit based within the Research and Enterprise Division at the University of Bristol.
What will you be doing?
You will work within a professional, highly motivated team and with the academic community to provide strategic support for research. The positions will sit between the Research Development UK Team and the soon to be formed Challenge Team both of which are based within the Research Development Remit.
In addition to providing expert advice on the preparation of major or strategic research bids, identifying and evaluating key opportunities for research funding, you will contribute to training in various formats and lead and facilitate workshops to develop new potentially interdisciplinary areas of research.
You should apply if
The successful candidate will have extensive experiencewithin Research Management or Research Funding; experience of working in the HE or funding sector would be particularly useful. You will have specialist knowledge of research activity and management, and experience of strategic research funding initiatives including doctoral training programmes/ centres and equipment bids.
You will have excellent organisation, planning and time management skills and be able to prioritise your workload when managing a large portfolio of complex projects. You will be able to both work in a team and on your own initiative. Strong interpersonal, organisational and IT skills are essential.

Both roles are open-ened. There is a full-time and a part-time postion available.
