Starting Salary is £37,467 per annum (including London Allowance). This is the expected starting salary for this post however appointment at a higher point may be made for candidates who demonstrate exceptional skills and experience relevant to the role.
Applications are invited for the post of Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Politics, International Relations & Philosophy. The post is full-time and runs until the end of the project on 31 December 2025. The starting date is negotiable, as long as it is no later than 1 October 2023.
The postholder will undertake research in the framework of Professor Joost van Spanje’s ERC Consolidator Grant project “New Parties on the News”, including, as part of a team of ten colleagues, designing and conducting experimental and non-experimental research, analysing and writing up results. The work may include the co-supervision of a PhD student.
Applicants should have their PhD in Political Science, Communication Science, Sociology, Computer Science or adjacent discipline examined prior to the start date. In their career to date applicants should have experience in research design and quantitative research methods. Additional training may be provided for the successful candidate.
