Yale University’s Department of English Language and Literature invites applications for a tenured associate or full professor in British Romanticism beginning July 1, 2024. 

We are searching broadly for an outstanding scholar, critic, and teacher of British Romanticism who, in addition to teaching in the English department, will contribute to Yale’s broader profile in the Arts and Humanities. We particularly encourage applicants who work in Poetry and Poetics, The Ecological Humanities, Public-facing Criticism/Humanities, Political and Intellectual History, Studies of Race and Empire, and/or Literary Theory and Philosophy.
