Located in North Wales only a stone’s throw from the Snowdonia national park Bangor University is a long-established university with an international reputation for the quality of its teaching and research. A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Applications Support Manager to work in the Digital Services directorate. As part of the Corporate Systems team the role will manage a team delivering 2nd line support of core business systems. You will have a Postgraduate degree in a related subject, however candidates with relevant knowledge and experience of working with business application systems and managing small teams would also be considered. You’ll be a problem solver by nature with a broad set of skills gained from providing real-world software system support.
The post is permanent and full-time and benefits from being eligible to the nationally supported USS pension scheme and various other employee benefit schemes. Having secured a multi-million-pound investment in corporate systems with current projects implementing a new HR and Curriculum Management systems this is an exciting time to join a dynamic team of professionals.
The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible.
This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
