The AMRC Training Centre is part of the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Group. Our cutting-edge Training Centre is an amazing place, with state of the art machinery and technology, teaching rooms and open learning areas. As well as apprenticeships, we also deliver higher and degree apprenticeships, providing progression routes from level 3 to postgraduate level.

We are seeking a Teaching & Learning Mentor (TLM) to join our support team. You will be proactive and an excellent communicator, with experience of successfully supporting learners and the ability to inspire and motivate apprentices who may be struggling with aspects of their learning.  You will:

  • have experience of delivering tutorial and pastoral support;

You will play an important role in the centre by providing 1:1 support to our apprentices, ensuring that they can meet or exceed in their aspirations and progress in their apprenticeship and at work.

As a Safeguarding Officer, your will ensure that the safeguarding of learners is effective, including liaising with internal and external agencies and ensuring that safeguarding procedures are followed and recorded. You will deliver our Personal and Professional Development programme, empowering learners to thrive, stay safe and well and progress. In addition, you will deliver Functional Skills to apprentices that require these qualifications;  we may require you to deliver Functional English or Maths as part of your duties.

We are committed to enabling our employees to work in a hybrid model with flexibility over when, where and how to achieve the required outputs, in discussion with your manager.
