About the role
As a member of our Library and Learning Services team you will play a key role in the designing, planning and delivery of high quality writing and learning development advice and workshops to the students of Bath Spa University. You will be required to provide Writing and Learning Centre services to students in person, by telephone or online as well as delivering bespoke sessions to groups. You will liaise with academic staff to ensure workshops align with the curriculum. You will also be required to complete administrative tasks related to the role and to make decisions related to learning development provision in the service manager’s absence.
About you (requirements)
You will be enthusiastic and committed to providing a high quality, customer focused service to our staff and students. With a degree or equivalent you will have a good knowledge of academic writing conventions in UK HE as well as sound knowledge of pedagogical principles. You will have good ICT skills including use of spreadsheets, word processing as well as some experience in creating online resources. Self-motivated and able to work well within a team, you will work well under pressure and you will welcome change as our service responds to new opportunities. Reliable and flexible with an eye for detail, you will be committed to helping others get the most from our service.
