We welcome applications for this exciting new Research Fellow post. The work undertaken in this role will support a project that will deliver major impact through development of novel design methods and tools. These methods and tools will be utilised to conceptualise and assess next generation aircraft and propulsion systems using alternative fuels and configured to achieve zero carbon emission in flight.
About the Role
This post involves being responsible for demanding research activities & timebound deliverables within the Centre for Propulsion, especially focusing on the development and application of novel methods and tools to undertake techno-economic and environmental risk assessments on novel integrated propulsion technologies configurations.
About You
To be successful in this busy role, you will be educated to doctoral level in a relevant subject (or close to completion of your PhD), with the necessary technical knowledge and practical skills & experience as per the Job Description, including programming skills. You will have experience in managing project deliverables, delivering effective presentations, and be able to assist in project integration workshops and other meetings. With excellent communication skills, you will also be a good team player, and have the ability to cope with pressure and multiple competing demands. Project planning is also an important skill for this post along with the ability to demonstrate self-motivation, perseverance, and initiative.
