Kent Law School (KLS) seeks to appoint up to four Professor or Readership positions, to deepen and extend the School’s leadership capacity, support continued development of the School’s research achievements and international profile and build on the School’s outstanding REF2021 result.
Kent Law School intends this round of senior academic staff recruitment to strengthen the School’s identity as a critical, international, diverse and interdisciplinary Law School that achieves distinction in teaching, research and public service. We welcome applications from academics with a proven and sustained record of outstanding publications and evidence of successful research and other academic leadership. Applicants with experience of capturing large grants and able to demonstrate the impact of their work are particularly welcome. Successful candidates will be keen to contribute to teaching in a diverse critical law school, to supervise research students and to mentor early career colleagues.
The successful candidates will enjoy working collaboratively in a supportive and collegial work environment. The School is particularly looking to make appointments in the areas of private law (particularly contract and equity & trusts), health and medical law, intellectual property law, public law, EU law, criminal law, the law of evidence, and critical introduction to law.
