An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and motivated individual to contribute to the delivery of the MSc (pre-registration) Speech and Language Therapy programme within the School of Sport and Health Sciences.
The School of Sport and Health Sciences sits within the Faculty of Allied Health and Wellbeing, is one of the largest schools in the University and probably the most eclectic in terms of educational provision. As part of this varied portfolio sits a relatively large number of Allied Health professional and post registration nursing programmes including a large CPD portfolio. Furthermore, the School boasts one of the largest portfolios of sport-related programmes in the UK. This ranges from foundation entry through to level 8 PhD-based programmes as well as extensive credit and non-credit bearing CPD courses. The School has a relatively large number of HCPC-regulated programmes including Physiotherapy, Paramedic Science, Operating Departmental Practice, Speech and Language Therapy, Dietetics and Occupational Therapy. The successful applicant will be joining a school with over 140 members of staff and will work closely with the course teams to teach specific modules on the MSc (Pre Reg) Speech and Language Therapy programme.
The applicants must have current HCPC registration and be a member of the RCSLT. They will hold a good honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, ideally be qualified to post-graduate level and must have some educational experience in Speech and Language Therapy. We particularly welcome applications from colleagues who specialise, or have a particular interest in, adults with learning disabilities and/or Dysphagia.
Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview. This position is based in Preston.
