The British Heart Foundation have awarded their first ever Chair of Vascular Surgery to the University of Leicester. The Chair will act as a focal point of clinical academic leadership in vascular surgery and support both local and national clinical research in vascular surgery.
As Senior Clinical Research Manager, you will be accountable for the design, delivery and quality of a large portfolio of varied clinical research projects and programmes, including both translational laboratory research and applied clinical research. A major component of this work will be the development and delivery of new funding applications.
You will work as part of a wider team, including other research managers and in liaison with external organisations.
You will have substantial experience in the discipline, gained either through PhD level study or equivalent experience, coupled with experience of managing clinical research and of managing a budget. You must be comfortable working with a significant degree of autonomy, managing your on own tasks and goals, as well as line managing other members of the research team. Experience of managing and contributing to successful funding applications is desirable.
