The School of Chemistry is looking to recruit a Research Assistant/Associate to make a leading contribution to an EPSRC-funded project synthesising bioactive bi-functional molecules working with Dr. David France and collaborators in biology. Specifically, the job requires expert knowledge in the design and synthesis of bioactive organic molecules. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.
We are looking for a candidate who has specialist theoretical and practical knowledge of organic chemistry as well as an up-to-date knowledge of the wider subject area. Candidates must be educated to at least degree level for this role, or to PhD level to be considered for a Research Associate position.
