The primary purpose of this post is to process applications from UK and EU students for a range of University programmes, and to deal with enquiries relating to application procedures; to contribute to all aspects of the smooth running of the admissions process within the University and ensuring an effective partnership with the Programme Leaders during the Admissions process. The post-holder will organise procedures and operations within the Admissions Team and will play a crucial role in delivering an excellent admissions service to all our applicants. The post holder will also have the responsibility for a number of other tasks that fall within the remit of the Registry Office and occur throughout the year.

  • Receive applications for UG and PGT programmes, direct, DfE Direct and process accordingly in line with appropriate university policies.
  • Liaise with Faculties in order to understand special complexities and requirements for individual applications as appropriate.
  • Make decisions and process applications in accordance with agreed entry requirements and refer to Faculties when required.
  • Participate as required in university Open Days, training events, taster days and talks.
  • Be aware of national developments in the field of university admissions, FE and HE bodies and ways in which that may affect their role.
  • Be available to work during the period of Confirmation & Clearing.
  • Be available to work additionally outside of normal working hours at certain peak times.

Degree level or equivalent with Experience within a educational/admissions environment and experience of Microsoft word, excel and other processes including large databases.
