We have an exciting opportunity in the Department of Sociological Studies for someone to lead our expanding Operations team. The team provides a core administrative service across all our teaching and research activities. We are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic individual, with experience of delivering quality administrative and business support activities in a busy office environment. Reporting to and deputising for the Department Manager, the successful applicant will demonstrate excellent negotiation and organisational skills, an ability to manage multiple competing demands, and experience of working both independently and leading a team.
The Operations Manager will manage the Operations team that sits within the Departments Professional Service team, deputising for the Department Manager when appropriate. The postholder will ensure the smooth running of a range of all operational activities, including HR, health and safety, and a range of administrative support responsibilities. If you have experience of providing high quality administrative and business support within a complex organisation ideally within a Higher Education or similar environment, along with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, then we would love to hear from you.
