The Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering (ACSE) invites applications for three Lecturer positions in the broad areas of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering. We seek to appoint Lecturers with the potential to conduct world-leading research in a relevant area. We would welcome the opportunity to broaden and strengthen research areas in one of the following: Control of Power Systems, Machine Learning and AI for Engineering, Autonomous Systems and Robotics, Complex Systems Modelling and Analysis (including in space systems, infrastructure and healthcare), Optimisation and Decision Support Systems, or a related area.
These posts will support the expansion of our teaching and research capability in line with our long-term strategic goal which is to embed the department as one of the leading automatic control and systems engineering departments in the world.
We are looking for innovative and visionary researchers who are able to develop, lead and sustain research of international standing in automatic control and systems engineering through high-quality research publications, in terms of originality, significance and rigour, as well as research grant income and impact generation.
You will be passionate about working to address the current and future research challenges in the field and to develop, apply and evaluate new solutions that benefit society and industry.
