Applicants are invited to apply for a Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) position to join the PASCAL project. The post holder will join the highly respected School of Informatics and Digital Engineering at Aston University and will work with industrial partners on novel photon counting systems.
You will develop novel digital timing circuits on Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) using VHDL and characterise them using laboratory test equipment. You will lead specified research tasks and will disseminate research findings in high quality publications and reports.
You will have experience of undertaking work with FPGAs (a PhD in a related field be beneficial) and experience of writing C/C++ for data acquisition would be advantageous.
