About the Role
The School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London is looking to recruit a Research Assistant to support a European Metrology project in the Antennas & EM Research Group led by Dr Akram Alomainy. The role is to develop radio channel models and sounding techniques for mm-wave and sub-THz frequencies in collaborations with various institutes and partners.
About You
Applicants must have an Undergraduate Degree (preferably Masters) in Electronic Engineering, as well as expertise in radio propagation and engineering. Candidates must have knowledge in radio channel modelling and characterisation and computational electromagnetics. A good understanding of channel sounding techniques and antenna designs would be desirable, along with good technical reporting experience.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a part time (17.5 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 24 months, with an expected start date of April 2023. The starting salary will be Grade 4, £33,619 - £35,411 per annum (pro rata for part time), inclusive of London Allowance.
