To cover an internal move, the Corporate Finance team are seeking a Financial Accountant for a fixed term contract until 31 August 2024. Having experience preparing accounts and managing the auditor relationship, you will be a key part of our financial reporting processes.
What you will be doing:
When you join, you will guide us through our budget and planning process in the spring, whilst also preparing for interim audit. In between, you will prepare our monthly management accounts.
During the summer, your focus will be on year-end preparation and completion, then you will be the key point of contact for audit requests. Moving into autumn you will lead on other regulatory submissions, forecasting and management reporting.
Along the way you will be a key contributor to risk management, change management and system implementation projects.

We are the Corporate Finance team. We look after month-end, regulatory reporting, cash management and the setup of the university’s current finance system, Unit4 Business World.
