This is an exciting new post which has been created to support the implementation and management of the Anaesthesia Associates Programme at Lancaster University, developing the programme for the North West, North East and Yorkshire and Humber regions.
Anaesthesia Associates are employed by NHS Trusts across England to deliver routine anaesthesia services under the supervision of a consultant anaesthetist. Lancaster Medical School is one of three HEIs in England who have been contracted to deliver the academic qualification associated with the Anaesthesia Associate training programme. That postgraduate qualification will be delivered part-time over two years in a blended / distance learning mode.
Lancaster Medical School is seeking to appoint a full time Programme Manager, to work with the Anaesthesia Associates Programme Lead and Head of School to provide a high level of administrative and management support to the Anaesthesia Associates Programme at Lancaster University.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate successful experience of managing complex learning programmes within a Higher Education or NHS organisation, whilst working closely with programme sponsors. This post requires evidenced ability of influencing and managing successful change projects, and requires a high level of stakeholder engagement across multiple organisations with colleagues at a range of levels of seniority.
