Salary: Grade 5 (£24,285 - £27,929 p.a. depending on experience)
This role will be based on the university campus. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Are you a highly motivated qualified Electrician? Do you have excellent problem solving skills and a logical approach? Can you carry out a wide range of electrical installation work? Do you have a background of maintenance of Life safety and critical systems like fire alarm, emergency lighting, security & access control systems?

You will help to deliver a reactive maintenance service across the University and be fully up-to-date with the requirements of Electrical, Fire alarm & Emergency Lighting Systems. You should have extensive experience in fire alarm and emergency lighting maintenance and testing.
You will have successfully completed an Electrical Apprenticeship and have on-site experience. You will be able to work unsupervised, and on your own initiative, within a large and complex installation, whilst maintaining a safe working environment for all our staff, students and visitors. You will report to Maintenance Co-ordinator (Life Safety and Critical Systems) and you will join our team that forms part of the Facilities Directorate, which is dedicated to provide a wide range of specialised engineering services connected with the effective management, development and maintenance of the University property portfolio.
