The research group of Andy Jones is looking for a bioinformatics post-doctoral research associate to join the “PanOryza” project (UK-USA-Philippines), aimed with creating the pan gene, protein and pathway set for *Orzya sativa* (rice) for 16 platinum standard genomes, covering major domesticated varieties and ~25 wild relatives. You will develop software for pan gene set creation and visualisation, and analyse omics data for genome / proteome annotation. Results will be disseminated through partner databases Ensembl, UniProt, SNP-Seek and Plantoeome.
You should have a PhD in bioinformatics, be a strong coder, with experience of omics.
The post is available on a fixed term basis until March 2024.
