We are looking to appoint a Technical Tutor to support the Post-Production activities of our lens-based courses. This post is aligned to the Film Production, Animation and Digital Arts courses. The role holder will teach and support moving image disciplines, with an emphasis on Avid Media Composer. Knowledge and experience using Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and associated compositing software across Windows and Mac Operating systems will also be required.
You will also be required to compile learning materials and deliver technical workshops and tuition as appropriate. You will provide support to students and staff using IT hardware and software skills may also be called upon. Knowledge of relevant cameras and multi-media applications such as Adobe CS would also be an advantage.
You will contribute to the care and maintenance of equipment and be responsible for the health and safety in your area of competence. You will also have excellent communication skills, be a good team worker and be able to demonstrate an aptitude for dealing tactfully with students and staff. The ability to work under pressure is essential.
In addition to your basic salary, you will receive a market rate supplement of £4,000 pa pro-rata. This supplement has been approved for a 2-year period, effective from your start date. During the 2-year period, the supplement will be periodically reviewed to ensure it still complies with the prevailing criteria and may be removed with notice if no longer applicable.
