We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic and skilled project coordinator for the research and engagement project “Facilitating the Adoption of Domestic Retrofitting in Canterbury and East Kent”. Funded by the AHRC Design Accelerators: Design the Green Transition scheme, the 6 month (March to September 2023) project aims to encourage the implementation of energy efficiency and carbon reduction solutions in housing in the Canterbury area through a series of workshops and resulting design guides. The research project is located in the UCA Canterbury School of Architecture and Design (CSAD) in East Kent.

We are looking for an individual to manage the research project, liaise with project partners and external workshop contributors, and run its different elements: six workshops, design guides, webpage development and project evaluation. The Co-ordinator will disseminate material online and via social media channels and work closely with the Principal Investigator, project team, and graphic designer on all aspects of the project. You will be the key internal and external contact point for the project.

We are seeking a talented individual who is knowledgeable about domestic architecture, retrofitting, and the challenges and opportunities of the green transition. You will have experience as a researcher or research project coordinator and will enjoy working collaboratively and with the broader community. We are specifically looking for a self-driven individual who has the energy and enthusiasm to engage a wide range of external stakeholders to engage with the project.

You must evidence a commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and widening participation in your work. Administrative skills are essential and a relevant qualification ideal.

At UCA, creativity and innovation are at the heart of what we do. Our legacy of educating eager and passionate artists, makers and thinkers runs back almost 160 years, and today we’re helping shape a global future that supports and nourishes talent worldwide.

Are you ready to share your passion for creativity with the next generation of innovators? If so, we want to hear from you.

We particularly encourage applications from people from minoritised ethnic groups and people with disabilities who are currently under-represented within the University.
