Project Title: Novel Realtime for Immersive Virtual Environments

This studentship is offered in conjunction with UCA’s Creative Technologies Research Centre (CTRC@UCA), led by Professor Edmond Prakash. Project proposals are invited that address the increasing demand in the Creative Industries for cutting-edge content based in interactive experiences and immersive virtual worlds. Plans should involve research that pushes forward the frontiers in integrating new techniques for emerging immersive applications. Applicants should consider, e.g., how emerging intelligent techniques may help the content creator to build and deploy virtual environments as well as how users can gain new immersive experiences in virtual worlds.

The successful candidate will work in CTRC@UCA and undertake some teaching activity as part of the studentship.

For full details of the scope and context of the studentship, please visit: https://www.uca.ac.uk/research/research-degrees/

The studentships recognise excellence in research and are highly competitive and limited in number.  Applicants whose application passes an initial review will be invited to interview. Applicants who are successful at interview and offered a place will be put forward for consideration for the Vice Chancellor’s Studentship awards. Studentship decisions are based on the relevance of the research proposal, and performance at interview. Those applying for a studentship or other funding must apply by 17 April 2023.
