CCaT (Culture, Continuity, and Transformation) at University of Gloucestershire invites applications for ONE three-year PhD studentship (fees only) in the emerging field of global eco poetry. The studentship covers home fees only, although international applicants are welcome to apply.
The successful applicant will pursue an independent research topic within the overall framework of Dr Rowan Middleton’s Ecopoetikon project on global eco poetry. There will also be opportunity for the successful applicant to contribute to the Ecopoetikon project. This project is interdisciplinary and applications are welcomed from students of English Literature or Creative Writing. The research must engage with the work of global ecopoets, and potential topics include the following:

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate will have a minimum 2:1 honours degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, and will either have completed a Master’s-level qualification or be enrolled on a programme that will complete before October 2023.

Selection process: Short-listed candidates will be invited for interview (to be held online), date to be confirmed but likely to be in June.
