The EPSRC CDT in Energy Resilience and the Built Environment (ERBE) brings together established energy research centres at Loughborough University and University College London with the MaREI Research Centre (Ireland). The ERBE CDT is an integrated, four-year programme, which will provide the knowledge, research, and transferable skills to enable outstanding graduates from physics to social sciences to successfully pursue research in one of three themes:

Funding information:
We have up to 10 fully funded studentships available. The four-year studentship is intended to start by 1 October 2023 and provides a tax-free stipend of £17,668 a year (2022/23 level; stipend increases each year) for the duration of the studentship, plus tuition fees. Up to three fully funded studentships can be allocated to outstanding international applicants.
We also accept applications from those who wish to self-fund, are in receipt of an independent scholarship, or are fully industry-funded; this must be indicated clearly on your application.
