About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Senior Finance Team as a Trials Finance Manager.
You will play key role in the long-term financial planning process for both the Early Phase Clinical Trials Unit (EPCTU) and the Oncology Clinical Trials Office (OCTO).
As a senior member of the Oncology Department, you will provide sound financial management for the department’s large and complex clinical trials portfolio on a daily basis. You will be responsible for ensuring we build & maintain excellent key stakeholder satisfaction for example with the OUH NHS Foundation Trust, Principal Investigators and funders.
About you
You will need to be educated to degree level, or equivalent, ideally in business or finance. Have proven experience of developing and implementing strategy and change management and Experience of research grant costing and grant accounting, including a thorough understanding of the accounting requirements of the major funding bodies.
Possess Experience of direct line management, recruitment and selection of staff, performance management and staff development and have Significant experience of budget management, including extensive usage of financial spreadsheets and databases.
Previous understanding of research grant funding in UK universities and ideally experience in the administration of research grants and contracts is desirable but not essential.
This role is a 3 year fixed term contract.
