The Department for Old and Middle English Language and Literature at the Institute of English and American Studies and Literature in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the Heinrich Heine University of Düsseldorf is seeking to fill a permanent post as a Lecturer (M/F/D) (100,00 %, pay grade 13 TV-L), Starting 01.06.2023.

Your responsibilities:

  • Teaching at BA- and MA- Level in the field of Old and Middle English Language and Literature
  • Supervising BA- and MA- Theses
  • Advising, supporting and examining students
  • Contributing to the administration of the Department for Old and Middle English Language and Literature
  • Research in the field of Middle English language and literature

Our requirements:

  • a completed university education at M.Sc. / M.A. / Diploma / Magister level in the field of Old and Middle English Language and Literature
  • a PhD in the field of Middle English Language and Literature

The pay scale grouping will be, depending on the personal qualification of the applicant, up to pay grade 13 TV-L.

In principle, the employment can also take place part-time, if no compelling official reasons are opposed in an individual case.
