We have an exciting opportunity in the Information School at the University of Sheffield for an excellent researcher and inspiring teacher. We are looking to recruit a Lecturer in Librarianship or Information Management. If appointed to this post, you would play an important part in our continued success.
You will have a PhD (or equivalent) in a field related to Librarianship or Information Management, a developing research profile, a proven teaching ability, a strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, and will make a key contribution to advancing the School’s leading position in Library and Information Science.
You will make a strong contribution to the further development of our research and teaching activities in Librarianship and/or Information Management; to the delivery of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes including both on campus and distance learning programmes; and to the supervision and development of research students. You will collaborate with other relevant research groups and networks in the School, and across the University. As this role will involve supervising and supporting research students and colleagues you will be required to foster a culture of mutual support and collegiality.
If you feel like you would be a good fit for the role, we would love to hear from you!
