Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Theoretical Biological Physics .
The post is available initially for a fixed-term duration of 20 months subject to funding.
This project project will investigate the application of concepts from algorithmic information theory to model bias in the evolution of development.
The successful candidate will report to Prof Ard Louis. Duties include managing own academic research and administrative activities, adapting existing and developing new research methodologies, presenting papers and representing the research group at external meetings and seminars.
The post-holder will have the opportunity to teach.
Applicants should hold a PhD, or be close to completion in physics or a related field and ideally have a strong background in Theoretical Physics, Theoretical Biology, or a closely related discipline. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a capacity for independent research work and should have a publication record commensurate with career stage.
