About the role
An exciting opportunity for a Technical Demonstrator to join us at Bath Spa, where our outstanding reputation of producing high quality graduates from our very relevant creative-digital curriculum makes this role a proposition like no other.
We are looking for a new Technical Demonstrator to support our students in gaining a range of industry specific skills including working with Adobe Creative Suite, building websites and other digital assets. You will be encouraged to design and deliver inspiring and educational demonstrations for a variety of learning styles and abilities. The combination of solid technical knowledge, innovation and inspiring demonstrations are at the very heart of this role. Not only will you be supporting the next generation of talented and creative individuals but you will be doing this in a close-knit, specialist team of technical demonstrators and liaise with academics to deliver excellent, student-focused modules.
About you
You will be fiercely passionate about publishing, journalism or digital content and bring solid up-to-date industry experience to sit alongside this passion. You will also need to have knowledge or professional working experience of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), creating and managing websites and preferably an understanding of usual online compliance. As you will know, good communication skills to gain the most from this position. If you have a knowledge of digital still photography, basic video photography and editing skills then this would be an advantage but we’re just as keen to hear from you if you don't.
You will have an active role in not only the planning and delivery of the courses but also be instrumental in advising over software purchases. We will be guided by you to convert your knowledge into inspiring workshops for a mixed ability of students.
