We wish to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (equivalent to an assistant or associate professor in the USA) within the School of Divinity. You will be a scholar with an established or growing international research reputation in biblical studies, and commitment to delivering high-quality teaching that falls within the broad field of New Testament Studies.
The successful candidate will be expected to have a range of interests, to publish research that strengthens or complements existing research in the School, and to be capable of teaching the subject to undergraduate and taught postgraduate students from a wide range of backgrounds.
*Appointment at Grade 8 Senior Lecturer (salary range: £56,048 - £63,059 pa, increasing to £57,696 - £64,914 pa from August 2023) will be considered for candidates with more experience/knowledge of the area, with the job description to be amended accordingly.
Candidates should hold a PhD in a cognate discipline. Excellent teaching skills and an interest in promoting the wider dissemination of knowledge are essential. You should also have some familiarity with grant-seeking processes in relation to research councils and other sources.
