School of Mathematics & Statistics
This post is full time, and has funding for up to 21 months.
The School of Mathematics & Statistics is looking to recruit a Research Assistant to contribute to an ERC funded project "Interactions between Groups, Orbits, and Cartans", working with Professor Xin Li. Ideally you will have a Ph.D. in Mathematics, and your expertise in research areas of Pure Mathematics such as operator algebras, dynamical systems and group theory should allow you to make significant contributions to the above-mentioned ERC funded project. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.
Informal enquiries about the role are welcomed, and should be addressed to Professor Xin Li (Xin.Li@glasgow.ac.uk) in the first instance.
