We have exciting opportunities at Sport Sheffield for people with a passion for sport looking to use their skills and experience to make an impact on our customers. We are looking to appoint knowledgeable, enthusiastic, passionate and friendly people. Our service and commitment to our customers is paramount in everything we do.
Sport Sheffield is the department of the University of Sheffield that manages all aspects of sport, including facilities and related services. The facilities at Goodwin Sports Centre include 170 station gym, 33.3m pool, strength and conditioning room, squash courts, sports hall, studios, extensive outdoor pitch provision. At Norton Sports Park we have 44 acres of grass playing fields and a rugby/football and hockey synthetic pitch.
Open to students and the wider community, Sport Sheffield is a great place to be and we offer a range of health and well-being opportunities.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant, energetic and forward thinking workforce. We are at an exciting stage in our development as we look to add a number of staff to our already thriving team.
The Outdoor Sport Duty Supervisor role is essentially a hybrid role encompassing Outdoor Sport Recreation Assistant duties such as facility checks, pitch changeovers, cleaning, first aid and dealing with general enquiries, alongside operational facility and shift supervision including opening and closing the facility. Whilst the post holder requires a First Aid and Pool Lifeguard Qualification we are not looking for this as part of the application process; anyone showing the qualities we are looking for will be offered training to obtain these qualifications as part of their induction. This role would suit someone with experience of working in indoor or outdoor sports facilities who is looking for the next step in their career in leisure.
We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.
We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
