Applications are invited for two appointments as Lecturer in Mathematics at the University of Galway. The appointments will be made on the salary scale above the bar and will commence on September 1, 2023, or as soon as possible thereafter.

We are seeking to recruit talented and committed Lecturers in Mathematics for teaching, research and service. We are looking to broaden our mathematics research and teaching portfolio in a way that builds on, and complements, existing strengths. Applicants are invited from any area of Mathematics.
The School runs a vibrant PhD programme, and a range of undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes across the mathematical sciences, including interdisciplinary programmes in Financial Mathematics & Economics and in Mathematics & Education. The appointees will contribute to teaching and research activities within the School, and will be expected to take a leading role in curriculum design and development of our Mathematics programmes, such as the BSc in Financial Mathematics & Economics. The appointment is aligned to the de Brún Centre for Mathematics, which fosters research and graduate training in the areas of analysis, algebra, geometry and topology.

Salary: € 72,266 to € 93,991 p.a (depending on experience, applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011)
