The University of Law (ULaw) is one of the world's largest law schools. With an impressive history dating back to 1876, we employ over 1,000 staff and have over 14,000 students studying on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, along with an alumni network in excess of 100,000.
We are looking for a full-time Careers Consultant who will primarily support the needs of our Business School (ULBS). Our postgraduate numbers are growing significantly, particularly international students, and Careers Consultants contribute to an assessed Professional Development Module as well as providing traditional careers support. In addition, we have a growing undergraduate population - again Careers Consultants provide classroom delivery on employability topics and offering a range of extra-curricular activities.
The successful candidates will work with students, employers and a wide range of internal colleagues. Experience with international students and employers would be particularly valuable. Alongside support for business students there will be opportunities to engage with those studying law, psychology, criminology, policing and sociology.
The Role will be based out of our Manchester Campus but will include responsibility for our Leeds Business students. Applications from those with careers qualifications. recruitment experience or a professional background are welcomed.
Employability is a key service at the University with an outstanding reputation and visibility is important. Thus there is an expectation that these roles will involve campus presence. It will also include some working from home in keeping with the Employability Service hybrid work model.
