A Part-Time Research Associate/Specialist Immunoassay Scientist position is available within the group Institute of Metabolic Science (IMS), focussing on providing a high-quality specialised immunoassay service to researchers, including offering advice and developing new protocols as needed. The successful candidate must have an excellent working knowledge of theoretical and practical immunoassay.
The candidate will be expected to use a variety of manual and automated techniques to develop new immunoassays and process the research samples sent to them. Experience with manual immunoassays and instrumentation such as the Siemens Dimension EXL, Perkin Elmer AutoDELFIA and Diasorin Liaison XL would be highly advantageous. The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with members of the Department of Clinical Biochemistry/Institute of Metabolic Science (IMS).
