An exciting opportunity has arisen for an early career programmer or a graduate looking for a first programming role to join in the position of Applications Programmer within the Technology Enhanced Learning Team with the School of Dentistry. We are a small, award-winning technology team that plays a key role within the School by developing innovative technology approaches for learning and teaching. The ideal candidate will be able to program in PHP and JavaScript to create and maintain bespoke web applications. We use MySQL as our primary database therefore detailed knowledge of MySQL and data structures will be required. The position will give you experience to all aspects of the applications development lifecycle, allowing you to gain experience and skills in a supportive environment, surrounded by like-minded professional, technology specialists. In addition, the role will allow you the opportunity to undertake CPD and input or recommend new technologies. This hybrid role requires regular on campus to days in line with the University’s hybrid working guidelines.
