Over the last five years ULMS has engaged in extensive recruitment of academic and professional services staff, expanding into a state-of-the-art extension adjacent to the Georgian quarter of Liverpool. The School now has over 220 academic staff supported by 85 professional services colleagues. The Marketing Subject Group is now seeking to appoint two Lecturers at Grade 8 (equivalent to Assistant Professor) in Marketing. Expertise in areas linked to Digital Marketing, Ethics and Sustainability are particularly welcomed but not essential
Candidates will possess a relevant PhD or be in the final stages of completion and have already obtained some level of success in publishing in world-class or internationally excellent journals in the Marketing field. Candidates will be able to evidence future research plans demonstrating the capacity to sustain and extend a high level of output. Candidates will also be expected to demonstrate a successful teaching track-record commensurate with the post as they will teach on undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes. The School seeks excellence in all aspects of student experience and looks for individuals with a passion for innovative pedagogies and the capacity to create and deliver new and highly contemporary modules.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability and enthusiasm to enhance student experience are required skills for the post-holder. Knowledge of the particular needs of international students would be an advantage. Ability to guide and supervise students’ independent learning is also an important requirement. Expected start date will be September 2023, subject to negotiation.
