BARCELONA (SPAIN) 

The IQS School of Management (University Ramon Llull) is seeking to appoint a University Assistant Professorship in Business Ethics from 1 September 2023. The successful candidate is expected to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level. It includes the teaching of courses in ‘Business Ethics’ and ‘Business Ethics and Sustainability’ for students of Business Administration, Marketing and International Business. Candidates must be able to show evidence of innovative research of international standing and demonstrate ability to play an effective and collegial role in the life and work of the School of Management. This is a search for a tenure-ladder position, with the academic rank to be determined according to the experience and productivity of the candidate. 

The successful candidate will be joining a vibrant, collaborative and friendly environment within one of the most traditional research centres in Barcelona. Our School belongs to the selected group of AACSB accredited business schools in Spain. We encourage applications from all areas of business ethics and human development, broadly defined. Some general research themes that are of particular interest are, in no particular order:

  1. Global inequality,
  2. Cimate change and impacts on vulnerable populations,
  3. Sustainable business models,
  4. Social innovation,
  5. Psychometrics, poverty and aporophobia,
  6. Behavioural economics,
  7. Digital ethics and
  8. Catholic Social Thought

The closing date for this post is 10th May 2023. 

The selection process will take into account the candidate’s fulfilment of the following criteria:

  • A doctorate in a relevant aspect of business ethics or cognate fields (or strong evidence of completion of such a doctorate is imminent)
  • Evidence of high-quality publications
  • Evidence of ability to engage in international collaborations commensurate with career stage
  • Evidence of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Spanish is desirable
  • Experience of teaching at university level is desirable
