The Alumni and Development Department (A&D) are seeking a Development Manager to bring their fundraising skills to the University. Part of the wider directorate of External Engagement, A&D pursue charitable funding from individual philanthropists, charitable trusts and corporate entities, as well as supporting our alumni community and celebrating their successes.
Currently fundraising for a diverse portfolio of projects including student scholarships and support, cancer research, the Centre for Sikh and Panjabi Studies, community outreach / Children’s University, brownfield research, University of Wolverhampton Racing and many others, you will have the opportunity to become involved in a broad array of exciting projects that will advance the teaching and research our academics deliver.
If you have a history of raising significant charitable income from a variety of sources, we would be pleased to receive your application for this role. Working closely with the Head of Alumni & Development, and the A&D department, you will be equally adept working in a team environment and on your own initiative. Your relationship management skills will be first rate, developing a rapport with both internal and external stakeholders and advising them on all aspects of philanthropy.
Working with charitable trusts and corporates, you will also exhibit strong written communication skills, and be adept at database management and record-keeping, preferably with a knowledge of our database, Raiser’s Edge. Working alongside the Database Manager, you will undertake detailed prospect research to ensure a potential donors passions align with the University and its projects.
