We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Coordinator to join the Oxford Trauma group at the Kadoorie Research Centre, Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS), to be based at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
As a Data Coordinator you will support the clinical research undertaken by Oxford Trauma and Emergency Care (OTEC) group by providing technical solutions and support for the research team. You will be responsible for creating and developing data collection systems and specifications as well as carrying out data cleaning and bug fixes, writing, reviewing, and running test scripts and other support documentation for trial databases. You will work with Chief Investigators and study trial managers/coordinators to develop the data collection systems required by their studies and provide training for end-users (internal staff and external stakeholders) in the use of OTEC’s systems, including bespoke project systems.
You will have experience of working in a regulated environment and supporting the use of IT systems to maintain regulatory compliance combined with the skills and experience equivalent to those of a graduate in a science, numerate or IT-related undergraduate degree. You will have a relevant experience in the creation of case report forms for clinical trials and an ability to validate and test data collection systems as per GxP and GAMP. You will be a good communicator with an aptitude for learning and using a variety of software packages, with a balanced approach to solving problems with initiative and seeking advice when necessary. Experience of working in a Clinical Trial Unit, University, or NHS environment, experience of working on a randomised control trial (RCT) and good knowledge of REDCap or similar data collection systems are desirable.
This is a full time (part time at a minimum of 60% FTE considered), fixed term for 2 years position
A lower grade offer may be made (Grade 5: £27,131- £32,348 p.a.) with commensurate reduction in responsibilities if a suitable candidate cannot be found to fill the Grade 6 position.
