MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the existing Health & Safety team. Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, you will lead on Chemical & Biological Safety. In addition, you will provide general health & safety support and advice to research and support staff, on a wide range of topics, with the mission of supporting a positive safety culture that enables high quality science.
You will be a hands-on, pragmatic, people-orientated individual, with demonstrable influencing skills. You will be a team player with the ability to engage collaboratively with staff at different levels, organise your own time effectively and have a flexible approach as the work demands can change. You should hold a science degree and the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. Previous experience of scientific research and laboratories is desirable.
