We are seeking to appoint a Senior Program Manager to support a new strategic partnership between the Pandemic Sciences Institute (PSI) and the MasterCard Foundation (MCF). Based in the Pandemic Sciences Institute, the programme will support the development of an eco-system comprising programmes of research excellence, continental knowledge exchange networks and a substantial cohort of exceptional leaders, linked to and able to draw on, the resources of one of the world’s leading universities.
You will be responsible for tracking, monitoring and resource planning for PSI-MCF programme. You will ensure efficient and effective operations by ensuring that PSI-MCF programme work aligns with the strategic direction and operational processes of the Nuffield Department of Medicine and Pandemic Sciences Institute. Taking the lead on the management of the governance structure for the PSI-MCF programme, and acting as secretary for all governance committee’s and risk management for the program is a key responsibility for the role, along with acting as the key point of contact for the PSI in relation to the PSI - MCF program.
It is essential that you hold a degree in a relevant scientific discipline and/or a relevant business or project management qualification, along with experience of managing large, multifunctional projects, with elements outside Europe or North America. You will have experience of working at a senior level in research programme management with full responsibility for all tasks within the lifecycle of a project. An in-depth knowledge of financial and grant management is required for this position, as well as flexibility to respond to changing situations. Exceptional organisational skills and the demonstrable experience tracking multiple activities in multiple locations is essential.
