The successful candidate will teach control engineering across a variety of courses both at undergraduate and post-graduate level. Knowledge of control systems design and analysis, dynamic modelling plus Matlab/Simulink numerical software is essential.

It is also essential that candidates should identify an expertise in one or more of the areas below:

a) mechatronics
b) digital signal and image processing
c) embedded control and real-time analysis
d) AI methods for control design and/or predictive maintenance
e) optimisation methods, system identification, adaptive control, nonlinear control

You will need to share our passion for delivering a positive student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning at the heart of everything we do and will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge in your area of specialisation. You will take responsibility for development, preparation and delivery of teaching, learning and assessment both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels including module leadership where appropriate.

This position is a teaching focused post that will attract candidates that wish to focus on pedagogic practice, design and delivery of teaching that is engaging, innovative and responsive and achieves excellent student learning outcomes. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to conduct relevant commercial activity.

The candidate should be qualified to PhD level in a relevant subject area or have comparable industrial experience. Experience of working in professional educational practice/consultancy projects, as well as experience of working on applied research projects, will be advantageous
