The successful candidate will teach control engineering across a variety of courses both at undergraduate and post-graduate level. Knowledge of control systems design and analysis, dynamic modelling plus Matlab/Simulink numerical software is essential.
It is also essential that candidates should identify an expertise in one or more of the areas below:
a) mechatronics b) digital signal and image processing c) embedded control and real-time analysis d) AI methods for control design and/or predictive maintenance e) optimisation methods, system identification, adaptive control,nonlinear control
You will need to share our passion for delivering a positive studentexperience that puts excellence in teaching and learning at theheart of everything we do and will be able to demonstratesignificant knowledge in your area of specialisation. You willtakeresponsibility for development, preparation and delivery of teaching, learning andassessment both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels including moduleleadership where appropriate.
This position is a teaching focused post that will attractcandidates that wish to focus on pedagogic practice, design anddelivery of teaching that is engaging, innovative and responsive andachieves excellent student learning outcomes. Successful candidateswill have the opportunity to conduct relevant commercial activity.
The candidate should be qualified to PhD level in a relevant subjectarea or have comparable industrial experience. Experience ofworking in professional educational practice/consultancy projects,as well as experience of working on applied research projects, willbe advantageous
